Did you ever think that by buying a home in Vancouver, you can help someone in Cambodia become independant and have a roof over their head? With the help of people like Pete Dubuis and Sid Landolt, this will become reality very soon! Many of you may have heard of organizations such as "TOMS Shoes" which is a company that "gives away a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair of shoes it sells." After Dubuis and Landolt had a chance meeting with the founder of TOMS, they thought, "we can do that!" And so began the very first Vancouver project to partner with World Housing to develop a 52-storey tower at the north end of the Granville St Bridge by Danish architect, Bjarke Ingels. For every condo sold, the developer will donate $3,000 to build a home in a community in need. $2500 will go directly towards the construction of the home while $500 will go to operations. How great is that!!!!
